About Calcendium
Calc + compendium: a growing collection of careful calculators for everyday decisions, built to show their work.

Why Calcendium exists
Many decisions start with a number: a monthly payment, the cost of a loan, how long something will take. Calculators that produce those numbers are everywhere, but many hide their formulas, skip important assumptions or ask for an email address before showing a result. Calcendium aims to be the opposite: fast, clear and honest about how every result is produced.
What you can expect
- Transparent formulas. Every calculator explains the math it uses, with a worked example you can check by hand.
- Stated assumptions and limits. Each page lists what the calculator assumes and what it does not cover, so you know when a result needs a closer look.
- Private by design. Calculations run in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to Calcendium. See the privacy policy.
- No sign-up, no email gates, no lead selling. You never have to hand over contact details to see a result.
- Sources and review dates. Where definitions, rules or rates matter, pages cite official or primary sources and show when they were last reviewed.
Where we are starting
The first calculators cover loans and vehicle finance: auto loans, early loan payoff and loan comparison. They share one thoroughly tested calculation engine. Calcendium is not a finance-only site. More areas, including education, energy, construction, conversions and dates, will follow, each held to the same standard.
New calculators and languages are added only when they can be done well. That means formulas checked against reliable references, regional rules sourced from official publications, and translations reviewed for accuracy rather than published straight from machine translation.
How Calcendium is funded
Calcendium is free to use. It may show clearly labeled advertising in the future. Advertising never changes how anything is calculated, it is kept away from calculator inputs and results, and no calculator input is shared with advertisers.
Independence and limits
Calcendium is an independent project. It is not a lender, broker or financial adviser, and it does not recommend specific financial products. Results are estimates to help you understand a decision. They are not advice. Read the financial disclaimer and the methodology for details.
